Tipperary Energy Agency, TUS and Community Power came together to launch CATALYST – An energy communities transition office, dedicated to support the existing and emerging energy communities of Ireland in their journey towards transitioning to renewable energy powered communities. As part of the EU funded PowerECOM project, CATALYST aims to bring communities together, understand their challenges and barriers, share their stories for inspiration and support them through P2P learning and training, facilitating workshops and helping them understand the existing resources in the area of renewable power generation as a community. For the launch of CATALYST, the Irish partners for PowerECOM are grateful to Tipperary County Council for providing the platform of SustainableTIPP – a collaboration of public, private and voluntary organisations working to achieve a sustainable and low carbon future for County Tipperary.
