Leading by Example in
Ireland’s Energy Transition
The public sector plays a central role in meeting Ireland’s climate targets, with a mandate to achieve a 50% reduction in energy-related emissions by 2030. Local authorities, schools and state bodies own and manage thousands of buildings, transport fleets and community facilities, making their leadership essential.
At Tipperary Energy Agency (TEA), we work closely with councils, state agencies and public bodies to deliver Climate Action Plans, retrofit projects, renewable energy integration and long-term investment strategies. As a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, we provide impartial technical expertise that ensures public sector organisations can cut costs, reduce emissions and lead by example.
