Remarkable
REMARKABLE Climate Leaders is a European leadership initiative empowering local and regional actors to deliver climate neutrality by 2050. Built around a people‑centred, action‑orientated approach, the programme supports public authorities, communities, and emerging leaders across seven European regions to accelerate the clean energy transition with confidence, ambition, and impact.
At its core, REMARKABLE creates a dynamic network of Climate Leaders who inspire change, mobilise stakeholders, and drive their municipalities and regions toward long‑term climate neutrality. These leaders will shift local action from traditional energy‑efficiency measures to a strategic, whole‑system focus on climate‑neutral futures.
Through the REMARKABLE Climate Leadership Programme (CLP), 120 leaders will participate in a structured capacity‑building journey built around four pillars:
What is Climate Neutrality?
From EU Ambition to Local Definition; The Science, Structures and Systems relevant to Climate Neutrality; Specific focus on the energy component of Climate Neutrality.

What we do
As a part of Remarkable Horizon2020 project, Tipperary Energy Agency delivered a Climate Leadership Programme for climate leaders in Tipperary and Clare to demystify Climate Neutrality. Tipperary Energy Agency supported our climate leaders to develop Roadmaps for Climate Neutrality before 2050. In our engagement with local climate leaders we received feedback that communication training on climate neutrality is needed for current and emerging leaders.
Project Aims
Climate Leaders Delivering Climate Neutrality by 2050
Build a strong network of current and emerging Climate Leaders who can inspire, mobilise, and guide municipalities and regions towards climate neutrality.
Accelerate progress towards 2050 targets. Drive a step-change in local and regional action so that public authorities shift from incremental improvements to transformative climate-neutral strategies.
Support public authorities in moving beyond energy efficiency only approaches toward comprehensive climate-neutrality pathways.
Facilitate the development of 60 actionable, ambitious roadmaps that translate policy aspirations into concrete disruptive measures.
Enable 7 Regional Energy Agencies to design and deliver 14 new Climate Neutrality services, strengthening their role as key change agents.
Foster peer learning and regional collaboration by connecting leaders across 7 European regions to exchange solutions, replicate successful models, and accelerate collective progress.
Support authorities in shifting from project-by-project thinking to long-term, systemic climate governance.
Empower communities and public authorities to lead the climate emergency response.
