Overview
Agritech partnered with TEA to turn a long-delayed energy upgrade ambition into a delivered project. The package combined solar PV, efficient lighting and plant upgrades across a busy manufacturing and warehouse setting.
The challenge
The company had considered upgrades before but had not found a route that inspired confidence. It needed a trusted partner to assess options, design the measures, coordinate procurement and keep delivery manageable for the business.
How TEA supported the project
TEA undertook an energy audit to identify the site’s major energy users and supported a Better Energy Communities funding application. TEA then designed the measures, prepared specifications, managed procurement in line with value-for-money requirements and oversaw delivery.
What was delivered
- Energy audit and business case development
- 184 PV panels on the warehouse roof
- 85 LED light fittings across external floodlighting, offices and warehouse areas
- Pipework insulation and a high-efficiency condensing oil boiler
- Procurement, design documents, tendering support and contract coordination
Results and impact
The PV system was expected to generate 42,087 kWh per year and save €5,471 annually. The project also improved lighting quality, reduced heat losses across the building and gave the client a fully managed route from concept to delivery.
Client voice
“We liked what we heard and the idea of them project managing the whole job for us was great as it is not our area of expertise.”
Planning a similar project? TEA can help assess the opportunity, shape the right solution, and support delivery from concept to completion.
