Overview

Sustainable Tipp is a county-wide initiative designed to turn climate and energy planning into visible local action. Built on Tipperary’s Sustainable Energy Action Plan, it brings together communities, businesses, farmers, public bodies and households around a shared energy transition agenda.

The challenge

County-level climate plans often struggle to stay visible once adopted. Tipperary needed a public-facing platform that could connect strategy with action, keep citizens informed, and create practical pathways for engagement across sectors.

How TEA supported the project

TEA helped translate the county’s energy and climate commitments into an accessible programme with clear objectives, partner engagement and a strong communication role. The initiative positioned energy efficiency, renewable development, awareness-building and capacity development as part of one joined-up local effort.

What was delivered

  • A public-facing county initiative linked to Tipperary’s adopted Sustainable Energy Action Plan
  • A framework covering housing, commercial, public, community and agricultural audiences
  • Communication and awareness support to keep stakeholders informed of actions and opportunities
  • A partnership approach involving local development, education, enterprise and county stakeholders

Results and impact

The programme created a practical bridge between policy and delivery. It aligned with a 32-action plan supported by the European Investment Bank and helped give local stakeholders a clearer route into energy efficiency, renewable energy and wider sustainability action.

Client voice
