Creating Energy-Efficient

Learning Environments

Schools, colleges and universities face increasing pressure to reduce energy costs, cut carbon emissions and provide healthy, comfortable spaces for students and staff. Educational facilities are often energy-intensive, with high heating, lighting and ventilation demands.

At Tipperary Energy Agency (TEA), we help education providers plan, fund and deliver energy efficiency projects that improve performance while reducing costs. As a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, we provide independent expertise that ensures energy decisions are practical, sustainable and designed for long-term value.

Ireland’s first renewably heated school is in Tipperary, complete with solar PV, advanced ventilation and heat pumps, thanks to our involvement. We have also worked on a number of school projects under the Department of Education’s Summer Works Scheme, carrying out heating and insulation upgrades that have vastly improved comfort and energy efficiency.
