Leading by Example in
Ireland’s Energy Transition
Local authorities occupy a unique position in Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon economy. They are both significant energy users in their own right and the primary enablers of climate action in their communities. Meeting the targets set out in the Climate Action Plan requires local authorities to reduce their own emissions while also facilitating and supporting emission reductions across every sector in their county.
Tipperary Energy Agency has worked with local authorities across Ireland for over 25 years, providing technical expertise in energy management, retrofit, renewable energy and climate planning. We are structured as a not-for-profit to provide genuine value rather than to maximise billing.
